Our offerings of beautiful seasonal home décor, bespoke floral arrangements, and unique gifts have earned us the endearing title of "My happy place" from our cherished customers, a sentiment that we wholeheartedly echo.

This cherished venture was brought to life by Linda Hinton, a visionary and passionate entrepreneur who sought to create a boutique shop that overflowed with a delightful "potpourri" of unique decorating options and gift ideas. What began as a humble business at White Oak Plaza blossomed into a resounding success, thanks in part to the unwavering support of Linda's family, particularly her father, whose belief in her determination proved instrumental.

In 1985, Linda and her husband, affectionately known as Big Mike, acquired the southwest corner of 40 and 7 highways. Formerly the site of The Village Restaurant, the property had been ravaged by fire and was in need of a complete restoration - even the parking lot required a fresh start. With the support of Linda's family and employees, the property was lovingly revitalized to house the new shop. Fond memories abound, particularly for Linda's son, Mike, who cherishes the time spent renovating the building with his father and grandfather. His hard work was rewarded with trips to the Creamy Cone for ice cream, creating treasured moments that still warm our hearts today.

Evolving over time but steadfast in its dedication to providing unparalleled quality, Petals & Potpourri remains a family affair, now guided by the next generation - Mike, Amber, and Hanna. The year 2015 marked a new chapter in our story as we proudly opened our second location on the Historic Downtown Liberty Square, further expanding our ability to bring joy and inspiration to our cherished patrons.
